Animal Husbandry

We welcomed lots of new students to Milton Junior School at the start of term - what better way to get them excited about the year ahead than to introduce them to our Agricultural Programme at Milton Farm!

The students were introduced to the farm ‘life-cycle’. They were shown how the animals are cared for, how their manure is gathered and used as fertiliser for crops and how the crops in turn feed us and the animals.

There was more than a little excitement when we introduced them to the larger animals at the farm but it was great to see their confidence improve throughout the day!
