Home Economics Grade 3

Watch our Grade 3 students learning how to make pancakes in their Home Economics class.

At Milton Junior School, we believe in ‘learning by doing’ and what better way to learn how to prepare a tasty breakfast than to prepare it yourself!

Being able to cook develops many essential life skills. Preparing ingredients encourages independence, ensuring the utensils and cooking appliances are handled safely requires discipline and monitoring the correct cooking time teaches patience. When the finished pancake is ready, our students feel a huge sense of accomplishment, further encouraging their self confidence and promoting self-esteem.

There is so much more to a Milton Junior School education than learning how to read and write - to find out more about our activities, check out our Enrichment Programmes or take a look at our Away Days. There is always something more to discover at Milton Junior School!
